Dynamic Timbers commenced operating on 1^st August 1994 as a new venture by current Proprietor, Nev Smith, selling structural timbers, plywood and mouldings to the local building industry.

We started trading in a small (800m²) section of the old ‘in-door cricket’ centre in Michael Street, Innisfail. The business quickly grew and we doubled our shed space within the first twelve months.

In 1997, we commenced the manufacture of roof trusses which required a further doubling of our operational area and eventually lead to us relocating in 2003 to our current Mundoo address.
We now have two roof truss production lines and a prefabricated wall frame line on a total area of 9,540m².

Due to the continued success of the business and our acceptance in the market place the decision was made to open a second store on the Tablelands at Isabella Street, Tolga in 2009.

With our market presence growing and our reputation for supplying and manufacturing quality products, in June 2020 we opened our third store, in Hannam St, Cairns.

We currently employ 18 staff, most of whom are ‘long term’ employees boasting a combined total of well over 100 years in the building and construction industry. With our recent move into masonry, and other future product coming online, we hope to see our staff increase in the future.

From humble beginnings we have grown into one of the largest timber yards and roof truss manufacturers in Far North Queensland and now have the only FNQ based prefabricated timber wall frame plant. Whilst our stores are located in Innisfail, Tolga and Cairns we service the North Queensland market from Ingham to Thursday Island and everywhere in between.
